Quartzite

Marble's dramatic look with granite-level toughness.

About this material

Quartzite is a natural stone that forms when sandstone is compressed and heated underground until it fuses into something much harder — the result looks a lot like marble but performs a lot more like granite.

It's one of the toughest natural stones we install, and it comes in dramatic, marble-like veining that a lot of clients want without the fragility.

If you love the look of Carrara or Calacatta marble but want something more forgiving for a daily-use kitchen, quartzite is usually the answer.
